Exactly. If a drunken husband beats his wife because she burned the pot roast again, do we try and give her cooking lessons? Do we try and uncover the reason he broke her jaw? Understand his motives? No. The correct course of action is to either put him in jail, or just look the other day when one day she decides she can't take the abuse anymore and kills him in self defense. >fanatiscism needs no cause, no diferent from Abortion bombers or Jerry fartwell.

Tell me why Bush has never posed the question to his electorate of why they would do what they did? Why does he instead choose to TELL us that it was envy and evil? Even more , insinuate that anyone who looks a tad deeper is for em and therefore against us. No one throws their life away just to be evil. Mike , I know you're gonna get mad at me, but I just can't swallow the party line.

there is a great deal of truth in what you wrote, mike. that said, there is a position between "they're all evil" and "we did this to ourselves". it is possible to wholeheartedly desire justice - f-it, the flaming sword of vengeance - being wrought on those who brought down the towers AND simultaneously acknowledge, say, a typical iranian may have more reason to hate us than we have to hate him. giving hitler prague was a terrible mistake, but that doesn't mean versailles wasn't as well.
