The Senate Governmental Affairs Committee is expected to issue subpoenas on Wednesday to force the release of information which the Democratic-controlled panel requested in a letter to White House counsel Alberto R. Gonzales nearly eight weeks ago, the FORT WORTH STAR-TELEGRAM is pallning top report in fresh editions. Although presidential officials were trying late Tuesday to head off the confrontation, Senate Majority Leader Thomas Daschle, D-S.D., accused the White House of stalling and said the committee has "no other choice but to move forward with a subpoena."
