bt, I guess you are right. It's best we continue as we are with the WTC destruction and nuclear war between India and Pakistan over the Hindu Kush, suicide bombers in Israeli pizza shops and whatever Osama has up his sleeve. There's no way anything can be done differently and having joint leadership by Saddam and Arafat wouldn't be that good and as you say, you'd vote for them so that's what we'd get.

It's best not to think. It's best not to imagine. Analogue is fine for phones and analogues of old-time crusades is a good way to run the 21st century.

Thanks for your succinct exposition on why failure is the natural state for life in the 21st century.

CDMA will never work either. Like my fantasy UN, CDMA breaches the laws of physics and human nature. It's late to market, questionably held together by Chicken Wire and Bubble Gum, capacity is limited, and power control is dodgy. It'll fail under load. Especially when everyone starts talking in different languages at the CDMA cocktail party.
