Jerry Piorkowski, who owns Mill Avenue Beer Co., said the ban, along with the drop in business since Sept. 11, will put him out of business.

It's too bad that Jerry is not allowed to open a bar for smokers - that way he could stay in business, the smokers would have a place to go to smoke freely, and non-smokers could be free to choose whether they wanted to frequent such an establishment.

On second thought, that's probably way to much freedom. This is America, after all.

I haven't smoked in years, but I must say I still find the smoking police particularly annoying. Especially those thetruth.com TV commercials. EVERYONE KNOWS SMOKING IS BAD FOR YOUR HEALTH. Why not tell people something they might not know, like how many people die each year from adverse reactions to pharmaceuticals?
