The snakes have to swim across the water to get to us, or fly. To get into Israel they just have to walk a few blocks.

Plus, they stand out like sore thumbs in a lot of places.

However, the DC area is full of Muslims and Arabs, and is also a known hangout for sympathizers for Al Qaeda, Hamas, and Hezbollah. Some snakes are here already and need to be dealt with.

Deportation of all male non-citizen Muslims and Arabs seems like a possibility. Don't know what we'd do for cab drivers.-g-

I have seen changes in the Middle Eastern community. Lots more Muslim women wearing hijab (head scarves). But the non-Muslim Middle Easterners seem to be distancing themselves from the connection.

We went to a nearby Coptic church last weekend for their annual festival. Coptics are Egyptian Christians. Usually they have great Egyptian food and Egyptian crafts, and they call it a bazaar. This year, they had American food (cheese steak subs, hamburgers, cheeseburgers) -- they did have gyros but none of the wonderstul stuff they usually have. And they called it a festival, not a bazaar.

But a lot of Muslim business owners are flying American flags in their businesses. We love Middle Eastern food so we frequent Middle Eastern restaurants and groceries, and then to make it even, we eat at Jewish delis.;^)

<I have no doubt Mecca and Medina would be considered targets for retaliation, but if we do that, then we'll become the target of Muslims worldwide, in perpetuity . . . why not--what else would they have to lose?>
