re: "ATI today announced that its RADEON(TM) family of products will offer 32-bit and 64-bit driver support for AMD Opteron(TM) and eighth-generation AMD Athlon(TM) processors."

64-bit support when and for which OS are they preparing drivers? Are there drivers for ATI graphics cards running under non-Windows OS? A quick visit to the ATI web site only found drivers for Windows OS.

This is a nice endorsement but it would nice if they noted a time frame of "upon release" or gave a hint of 64-bit Windows -- ATI likely to announce things before their partners (such as Apple).

RE: ATI's RADEON to Support Opteron and eighth-generation Athlon.

As always thanks Milo. This is great to know as I have an 8500 and 7500 video card. Looks like a lot of manufacturers are jumping on the Hammer family bandwagon. Intel supporters should be afraid; Very Afraid!!! Currently I still am holding out for another big correction before I get back into AMD.
