You are unusual. I find a lot of people live on 1.25 times their income.

Someone told me years ago that if you lived on half your income and invested the other half wisely then your investment income would outgrow your wages within ten years. I never could seem to put away half but I put away close to that. It didn't take ten years for the investment income to out strip my ability to make money. Of course, this might have more to do with my inability to get on the gravy train in terms of wages then any investment acumen. -g-
