I often answer an aggressively phrased question in two parts. Usually I'll say something like "you're right, we do have competition." And then follow it up with something like "But we are confident that this is a large and fast growing market and that our product and marketing efforts will capture a large portion of the market for us."

One problem with the interview was that when the soft spoken John O'Rourke made the first part of his response he was never given the chance to go on offense and get out the firm response that was needed. It went like this.

JO: 'You're right, we do have competition...

Haines: BLAH! BLAH! BLAH! MISTRUTH! MISTRUTH! MISTRUTH! EXAGERATION! EXAGERATION! EXAGERATION!

O'Rourke would then get out 3 seconds of response to the new attack and then he was interrupted again.

IMO,
Dave

DH: You are preachin' to the choir. CNBC almost to a man(person) in my estimation hates MSFT. Why I don't know but I have been observing and decrying this for years. Squak Box is the Golden Goose and Three Stooges.JFD
