Zeev:

Your understanding of mass psychology is much better than mine will ever be. And I agree that the Fed has poured a river of liquidity into the system over the last few years.

What worries me the most and why I tend to think we see negative fireworks in the near term is that most corporations are experiencing a complete profit implosion and many of them are already incapable of servicing their debt. This looks to me like it is going to exacerbate an already worrisome situation. When one company defaults, it sends out powerful waves that put the lined-up dominos in action. I hope you are right and that it gets strung out over time.

As far as the semis are concerned, the end markets define their future and as noted earlier, those end markets are a mess. Many semi stocks are still trading based on a nostalgic (late 1990s) view of the world.

Best, Earlie

Zeev, a few of your longer-term picks are getting ripe already. Given that we are still in the early stages of the Nassacre, would you like to adjust (or maybe suggest stops for) any of the following?

POOL (Entry under $29) has broken that level intra-day each of the past three days.

MVIS (OB $7.88) today's lod = $8.30.

GENZ (OB $31.45) today's lod = $32.16.

AW (OB $9.15) today's lod = $10.46

TIA,

augie
