Let's try it this way. Mike identified Tom's prior holdings as 62 million shares. If he had sold 50%, he would have cashed in on 31 million shares. But he actually sold 26 million shares. That's 5 million shares less, which would be valued at nearly $100,000,000 at today's low valuation. As far as I'm concerned, a hundred million bucks is too big an error to accept, even as an approximation. Besides, if Mike is on the internet, he has a computer and doesn't need to make approximations. I'm guessing he overstated his case intentionally.

Tom Siebel: No time for apologies

Ever since leaving Oracle to strike out on his own, Tom Siebel
has never been afraid to make waves. In a frank Q&A, the brash
software CEO explains why homeland security always takes
precedence over minor security checks and why enterprise app
makers are screwing up big time.
