I don't like the triangle idea because you can't draw two trendlines on either side of it. i.e the line joining B (Sep 01) and D (May 02) misses the beginning of A in April 2001 by a long way.

I also believe that this recent pop is a 4. I like to believe it's 4 of 3 rather than of C, but it's still the same.
