You could always rumour they found the entire Al Quaeda gang in a cave and they signed a pact to end ME violence and invest in US equities. That and a bit of hedging ought to do it. Nobody is gloating if you lose your shirt. After all we need your liquidity on the other side of the trade. Just admit you were wrong like a man.
