I enjoy speaking with friendly people but am not inclined to engage a clerk who barely acknowledges my presence. Or maybe it's that I'm happy enough to just finally get thru the checkout line and say "paper, please" to the bagger who always wants to use those pesky plastic bags. Do you suppose they're getting a kick-back from the plastics industry?

And my husband was laughing at me for giving movie advice to someone in blockbuster last night. But I've seen ALL the movies- and I want to share that knowledge. She was very happy for my tip about Perfume, and Songcatcher. She promised to rent them. Of course Mr. X said she only did that to get away from me.
