I was expecting at least a 1 day dip in the miners. An intraday pullback only would surprise me. Maybe the real dip in the miners will start tomorrow in conjunction with a market rally going into the long weekend?

It can and it is. Forget trading this stuff...this is qualcomm v. 2002. Buy it and check the quotes in 6 months or so.
