I have heard the discussion ad-nausseum. And my analysis does not change. Human nature is simple. Obscenely rich folks like to enjoy the wealth. The lower class of a country of wealthy who got there because they won the oil lottery and thru no merit are fodder for snake oil salesmen.
Saudia Arabia is a place of limited kiss ass opportunity just like every country that is not a democracy. But the legitimacy of of ruling authority rests on spiritual and cultural perceptions as well as wealth and genes. So they survive as best they can. But they also know that if you go to far, you can have a well engineered head removal from home or external forces.

The wealthy don't like it when they have to fly their entire families home from the best place in the world. So to me there selfish personal desires would naturally place them at odds with terrorists. But they are also cowards and can be extorted into secret support. And yes there may be a few chrissypoo aka PiG Vomit hate filled minds that are against everything American. Well you deal with the good, the cowards and find out who the chrissypoo are.

That's leadership.

"Maybe you missed the discussion.
It was about Saudi Arabia, "

MSI....I appreciate your outrage over our purchases of Saudi oil and your argument that some of those proceeds are no doubt wind up supporting terrorists who are training to attack us. But Neocon's arguments are also valid in that he points out how totally dependent we are on oil imports and will only become more dependent in the years to come; not withstanding any drilling in ANWR. The Saudi's sell us about 1.5 million barrels of crude a day, which would be hard to make up,but I've wondered why we aren't buying from Russia, which has the supplies and who are ostensibly our ally in the war against terrorism. What bothers me even more is why we buy fully 40% of the crude oil production of our sworn enemy, the charter member of the axis of evil....Iraq. Here is a country we are openly planning to invade and who we accuse of manufacturing and selling weapons of mass destruction including bio, chemical, and nuclear types. We currently are purchasing about 700,000 barrels of crude/day from Saddam!!!!
