The Sandanistas' treatment of La Prensa was far too kind. La Prensa was being funded and played the tune of America, which had been actively involved in supporting the brutal dictator Somoza and was actively involved in subverting Nicaraguan democracy by military force. Yet, the Sandanistas allowed La Prensa to keep operating.
