Which causes the glaciers to calve off more bergs because of the added weight and leverage. I hope you can explain that to the every new berg is global warming crowd.

Last year in Florida I saw an area of palm trees that had died from saltwater incursion. Now the easiest first thought would be the seas are rising but I asked a local. Seems like hurricane Andrew had formed a new sandbar which had diverted the current inland about 30' for about a year until the bar broke up.
