Sorry, the United States, under Carter, withdrew its support of Somoza, and was initially friendly to the Sandinistas. Also, there were disagreements among observers, and many of them merely came in as poll watchers, not knowing how the campaign period had been handled. Why do you think several parties withdrew from the election? Were you a Sandalista? Or maybe your Mom?
