...like Dracula, that a single ray of sunlight can spell its doom

I like that. That seems to be an apt description of Administration views on secrecy, for all of their backroom activities.

And, the irony is, it may be true ...

As soon as an investigation pulls one thread, if the Administration attempts to block unreasonably, it could become unraveled.

Sunshine is the best cure, as we saw in the Truman, Johnson, Fulbright hearings. This arrogant group still thinks they can pull the wool over our eyes, by telling us of threats of more attacks.

"Roosevelt understood that keeping people largely in the dark during wartime actually hindered the prosecution of the war and undermined the principles for which we fought. "

That goes double for domestic attacks on civilians, who must engage in defeating this enemy.

Instead, are being told to sit still, and be killed on occasion.

I can only imagine this political failure is due to the structure of this administration, with Junior as the shill, and Dick, Don and Senior running the show, off stage, missing the pulse of the country. Of course, Senior missed the pulse of the country last time around, this shouldn't be any different.
