i have a core position in two gold stocks, hgmcy and drooy...i have a pile of hgmcy that i've sold calls on, mostly june 17.50...i used to do a lot of calls on pdg, and that was because in my canuck ira i have a limit on non canuck content...i'm almost all in cash in my ira, just about 3 % in smaller spec plays on gold, such as tvx, golden star, cumberland resources, rangy etc. i have a couple hundred shares of corner bay which just got merged with paas, so i'll inherit paas shares...i figure the covered calls can make you between 3-5 % per month, and i am somewhat nervous about the high current prices of the miners...
