Palestinians want an independent state or as much of one as they can get. Israeli's would be concerned that making Palestinians citizens and giving them the vote would mean that they eventually control the government and Israel ceases to exist, becoming "Palestine". You're right, of course. I just thought it was interesting to hear a Palestinian say that being an Israeli citizen isn't necessarily such a bad thing. Of course, he might have the ulterior motive of wanting to make an Arab majority in Israel.
