Where are the Al-Qeida leaders? Where is Osama bin Laden? Where is the effectiveness of our government, if we have as Cheney calls it, a war that will "last the rest of our lifetime" How many in America accept that? How many in this country are prepared to roll over and accept the Vice President's assertion that we must sit and wait for nuclear and other terrorist hazards, with no solutions proposed, other than bombing more rubble in Iraq? Besides the smell in the air over these memos, I don't think we are culturally capable of accepting that kind of defeatist message. I'm certainly not.
