I think it will be very difficult to convince Americans of the true peaceful nature of Islam, until the peaceful silent majority of Muslims stand up against violence. Muslims that believe that fundamentalism is the path to restore the former prominence of the middle east are ignoring history. Islamic prominence has historically been a product of learning, knowledge and commerce. Christians gave up crusading 800 years ago. IC
