chip equipmt stock downgrades bodes poorly for techs
wasnt it just 2-3 weeks ago that Criminal Brokerage Houses were touting such stocks as ApplMaterials, Novellus, et al?

AMAT came out with better than expected news, but unclear decent forward guidance
I thought the entire chip sector is about to suffer severe hits from Asian price cuts
and new equipment outside Intel's efforts were all stalled

I suppose AMAT, NVLS are front scouts for the 2ndHalf Recovery annual nonsense
they will promote a recovery each and every year until they get it right
sometime in 2-4 years

are the Houses selling 2-3 weeks ago on good guidance?
and buying now on bad guidance?
OR ARE HOUSES EXTREMELY CONFUSED?
I believe they are confused, hopeful, desperate, and no longer credible
chip equips are the leading edge of the leading chip sector
and full of bigtime risk as a result

Ned Reilly of StateStreet this morning said on CNBC
"I cannot believe these brokerage house analysts still have any credibility left"
sharp guy, gotta love that Boston accent
