I have given that scenario a lot of thought Gottfried and I just don't think NVLS can come up without enough forward good guidance to undo the damage that is taking place.

Seems to be a real duel going on amongst the analysts...

Chip Equipment Stocks Dn-4: Salomon:Business To Improve In 2nd Half 11:34 GMT-04:00 Friday, May 24, 2002

But Hodess wasn't the only analyst to defend chip equipment stocks Friday. Glenn Yeung, an analyst at Salomon Smith Barney said his view is that things will improve in the second half of the year, which will bode well for fundamentals as end market demand get better.

While the analyst said it's "perfectly reasonable" to expect a pause in orders as companies digest the equipment they already have, he said it happens every cycle. "Knowing it's a one quarter pause, is that something you want to downgrade for," asked the analyst.
