I am one of the "old folks". I am not scared at all because I won't be around in 2016 when Social Security starts running a deficit. By then, I will have recovered all of my social security payments plus interest. By then, they will raise income taxes to pay the boomers social security. That will be a just result because the social security surpluses for the past 20 years have been used to finance the Reagan-Bush tax cuts.
