I did call Kristof's column trifling, because I thought the whole column consisted of knocking down a straw man argument. What annoyed me about Win's response was that he chose to quote me in mockery and set me up by inference as a big supporter of Arafat-turned-down-the-generous-offer argument. My point of view is more nuanced than that, it was that Arafat refused to seriously negotiate. It's annoying to have my arguments misrepresented, mocked, and never answered directly. It's not the first time Win has done this either.
