I have an extra pair of stereo component speakers, nothing special, but I'm wondering if I could set them up to be the speakers for my PC... two things to consider right away: these speakers have no volume control while the ones I now use for the PC have a volume control... secondly, the ones I use with my PC now needs to be plugged into power, the larger room stereo speakers don't require power when set up to my room sound system... would it work if I connected the appropriate cables and wires or will I blow something?

Many thanks in advance for any and all thoughts...
