"a more accurate picture"

I'd like to see that, if it's different than flap's description.

The proof of this pudding is found in the past 22 years with the fiscally irresponsible Republican presidencies of Reagan-Bush-Bush. What happened in 1902 has no bearing on what is happening today, but what happened in 1982 certainly does have a bearing on what is happening today.

flapjack, Sorry. You can't pick your space in history to try and twist the facts. Go back a hundred years, up until now, and you will have a more accurate picture. Nice try, but no cigar.

* Big Government Party
Contrary to popular myth, every Republican president since and including Herbert Hoover has increased the federal government's size, scope, or power -- and usually all three. Over the last 100 years, of the five presidents who presided over the largest domestic spending increases, four were Republicans.
