Its one plan Franks put on the table. and it might be worst case.


It is an "attitude" problem, IMO. If you had asked Franks to invade Afghanistan, he would have wanted 6 months and 50,000 troops. We went in with the Special Forces because they were on the ground, could be easily supported, and could do something immediately. That war was planned by the "xcom" committee at Camp David and the White House, mainly by Tenet, and the Pentagon had to go along.
