The old school seems to think greater militarization by the US means greater security. The last 50 years shows the opposite, that sufficient defense is more secure than overblown military posture, which like a hammer that thinks everything is a nail, finds excuses to intervene everywhere, and is the answer to everything. Worse, with the colossal secret police force, it becomes a magnet for secret deals that quickly run counter to American national security. And it even affects the domestic political scene, I think it will be shown, eventually. Absolute bullshit. Cases in point.... WWII and the Korean Conflict....... In each case weakness in the military led directly to war...
