MK, Funny, but he makes several mistakes. First of all, when the unnamed firm rigged the Treasury Market, they definitely hurt many, many small investors. And when Drexel manipulated the junk market, it was small investors in mutual funds who took the brunt of the beating. Which brings me to the last point. Mutual funds are part of the scam, not the answer to it. The dumb ones bought into the analyst stories and the clever ones tried to front run the analysts. In either case, the funds were a big part of the scam.

The one person he doesn't blame is the bull heading for the slaughter-house at full speed. We're grownups who can blame the Street even while we can't escape responsibility for our actions. How many bulls did we all post to on SI who wouldn't consider wearing a hard hat in the meteor shower?
