THough 1 M or more Indian and Pak soldiers are massed facing each other I believe it will not affect the PoG immediately. Maybe later. Simply because a shooting war between them will not go full scale. At present, both sides are merely "saber-rattling" and taking advantage of the US's dilemma. Pakistan knows that the US will restrain India so that the full resources of Pakistan remain available for the fight against terrorism. And India knows that the US will restrain Pakistan because the US cannot afford the Paks being distracted and thereby allow Al Qaeda and the Taliban a chance to regroup etc. In the end both India and Pakistan will "gain" unspecified favors from the US at N. American taxpayers' expense. I guess this will help the PoG much later. To be sure, the Pak and Indian leaders are wily and politically savvy guys.
