my point was that people are making comments about the broker in question without ANY direct knowledge of the broker. For years people kept posting "one can't short penny stocks." Then people posted that it was illegal. And that even all shorting itself should be illegal. The fact is there is a loophole that may be closed that allowed for naked shorts. AP himself kept it to himself the inner circle which I was not a part. I found out about the broker by accident. No one would post who the broker was on any sites that I saw. I do question whether it is right if should be allowed. But it was legal. And I was naive like most of the people on SI and didn't know how to do it until last year. I posted here many times and no one would tell how it could be done. I called many offshore brokers and finally found one that would take US accounts. And the were very insistant that they would be making sure all earnings would be reported to the IRS. I agree for some of the news items that AP had crossed the legal lines regarding bribes and extortion and maybe insider trading. However, there are many bbs that are run by crooks. And making that statement alone is not much in the way of an insider tip. The question is did AP have an impact to cause the stock to fall? Well he pretty much stopped posted on any public forum and finding a falling stock last year was pretty easy. Like I said before, I never saw him post something that stated he may have some unique inside info. I found that everyday for awhile on Yahoo. If someone did post something like that, I would not have been a part.
