My memory says $5 gold coin was the smallest... I think it was fairly small.

Gold one dollar...minute, people hated it b/c it was so small. Then quarter eagle, 2 1/2 bucks. Pre 1890's are some of the rarest mints out there. Then the three dollar "indian princess".
