OK, but what's European about Russia and Israel too? -g- Most people are in agreement that the "European Song Contest" is about the most daft piece of glitzy rubbish in existence. It's incredibly popular of course. Practically the whole Russian nation watches it as well as large segments of the population in the other participating countries too. The audience vote by telephone and the results from each country graded points 1 to 12 (12 is high mark) of the top 12 songs. Weird things happen with the votes. Cypress votes Greece best points, Greece votes Cypress best points. Latvia votes Estonia best points etc....
