Charlie ... re cyber-Ken (no relative of mine) ... do you remember, from 1964, "extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice" at the Republican National Convention ... the quote, I believe, came from the John Birch Society in a paperback book that was handed out at American Universities all over the U.S. (including Penn State) ... it was called "None Dare Call It Treason" in behalf of Barry Goldwater (who I actually liked and admired all through the years) ... ... from that date forward, I gave up conservatism as the "voice of inherited wealth without capability of intelligent thought - only the ability to justify and preserve itself and its (supposed) position in society" ... pretty good definition, eh ...
