About six months ago I talked with the PCS guy at hte local CompUsa. He was aware of the upcoming 1X rollout, but not at all excited.

Yesterday, he was practically bubbling over (same guy), talking about all the new neat phones he has seen that they will be carrying, and the capabilities of the phones now and once opened up for 1X.

Overall, he was informed, excited, upbeat, energetic, and not only optimistic, but incredulous about how bad AWE and Cingular were going to fare once the Sprint 1X rollout happened. During our conversation, another salesperson and two customers gathered around to hear him talk. When I left, he was still going on about everything.

Nice to see that. It seems that they are starting to get some internal education and marketing going.

I am hoping to see a mass exodus of high end customers from Cingular, AWE, Voicestream and Nextel.

Me too !
