I agree, but that does not prove he is guilty of this dramatic and awful charge of knowing about the 9/11 atrocities in advance. That prosecutor must prove this charge without delay, or else he has behaved in a most immoral and unethical manner. I truly hope many of of you, whatever your opinion of A. and his activities, will agree with me on this point. Throwing out innuendo without proof - well, put it this way: Today a prosecutor has employed these tactics on A., tomorrow he, or another emboldened by his success, may use them upon you. Think about that, all of you. Look at history, then see where that leads us. If the statements related to A.'s brokerage communications are in fact true, then it seems clear A. was exhorting his members to buy, while he in fact was selling, at a minimum, his children's holdings. This is most dishonest behavior, and for that, A. should be called to account, both here at SI and elsewhere. Simply because others have done the same does not excuse this immoral and unethical behavior. I still feel that if A. is to be crucified in this way, it would be an outrage if those who enjoy far more power, who have done far more damage through similar activities, are left to take pleasure in their ill-gotten millions - and, on a corporate level, the investment banks, billions - without any consequences accruing to them as well. Enough of us who are honest and law-abiding here, and in the public at large rise in one voice to demand an accounting, then perhaps justice will be served. Though I know that is a tall order, not speaking up in the face of evil - yes, evil, that which has destroyed so many lives the past several years - is not an option for those of you who care about this country, and that for which it stands.
