Hermetically-sealed Beltway logic: use legalisms, and the public be damned, because they don't matter...

Well, as long as some in Congress continue their research, it will be tough to avoid an investigation in absentia, which would be just as unkind, and less controlled. What do you bet it goes like this: after another month of stonewalling and maybe a Paki nuke test that destroys the stock market, they can't hold the dike any longer, and attempt a controlled investigation?

By then, the release of information will be too much to hold back, tho'. My recommendation to Bush Inc.: do it now.
