A short history lesson of the Dow Jones Index for LTB&H:

(1) Yr 1836 Dow=50 Yr 1932 Dow=50
Same level after 96 years!

(2) Yr 1906 Dow=100 Yr 1942 Dow=100
Same level after 36 years!

10-fold rise in 24 yrs: 1942 Dow=100 1966 Dow=1000

(3) Yr 1966 Dow=1000 Yr 1983 Dow=1000
Same level after 17 years!

10-fold rise in 16 yrs: 1983 Dow=1000 1999 Dow=10,000

(4) Yr 1999 Dow=10,000 Yr ??? Dow=10,000
Same level after ??? years.
