We have had only 3 inches of rain this year,
which will be the lowest recorded amount in 100 years,
so there are no streams draining anything this year.
More likely to strike gold at the Viejas Casino on
the way to the Lagunas than in the Lagunas <grin>

Thanks, gold_tutor, I'm going to take your advice and pan a little to satisfy my curiosity but after making some quick calculations last night, I think that even if it is gold, extracting it would end up being a $10/hr job to destroy my yard. LOL I'm a little east of Escondido and not too far from Santa Ysabel so I may look into that more. Thanks again for the info.
