Hi JDN,

Re: The guy who was considered the baddy prior to WWII was John F. Kennedy's father.

Joe Kennedy was certainly one of the most manipulative men of the 20th Century. As I learn more about his history, his ascension to the head of the SEC is all the more remarkable. Today, we disrespect Harvey Pitt for being a fox guarding the hen house. Kennedy makes Pitt look like a choir boy in comparison.

Re: If you want to talk CONSPRIRACY you ought to consider whether or not FDR conspired to allow the Japanese the OPPORTUNITY to deliver a crushing blow to our Navy PURELY to CAUSE our entry into the war.

I have discussed this matter, and I am convinced beyond a doubt that just as with 9/11, upper echelons of governmental policy makers knew much more than they are will to admit about the planning for the attack on Pearl. Robert Stinnett
amazon.com has recently a book, "Day of Deceit", with recently released documentation available through a thorough FOIA investigation. He presents what appears to be irrefutable evidence that FDR provoked the Japanese, and was well aware that an attack would occur. Stinnett concludes that FDR used the attack to finally sway public opinion in a shocking way in order to end our isolationism.

Re: It would appear from all we know there is a better case for that then most of the conspiracies you talk about.

Which others? The Lusitania?

Clearly another well documented case of the US and British governments lying, engaging in a coverup, shipping contraband in a provocative manner in contravention of the Hague Convention and being completely deceitful and dishonest.

The Kennedy Assassination - Do you believe the Warren Commission's conclusions and the silly single bullet theory?

There is a lot of reason I believe in government conspiracies. Because they really occur.

We have a long way to go before we understand the events surrounding 9/11. But it is looking bad for those who naively believe that the government is your friend.
