There are Turkey vultures in Kenora area. If you cut your finger when staking claims you would see them start to hover over you. Between that and wood ticks soured me on that gold area. But you are right, they look impressive on the wing. They are a huge bird. About 6 foot wing span.

So on an odd note, what happened to all the song birds of North America? Is it my imagination, or are they fading fast?
