So, did you catch the "Origins of Impressionism" exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in the mid- 90s? How did you like the Cezanne retrospective in Philadelphia several years ago? One of my favorite shows was the Museum of Modern Art's exhibit on the Vienna Secessionists, in the mid- 80s. Of course, there are so many that have moved me: the travelling Barnes exhibit, with its bounty of Matisse's, which I saw at the National Gallery; the Richard Diebenkorn retrospective, which also made the rounds, which I caught at the Phillips Collection; the Guggenheim's exhibit of masterworks from the Pompidou Center. It is so good to come across a fellow art lover......
