<And this is what they fear the most ...just look at all those petro-dollars that have been taken in for so many decades , and look at how little has been really accomplished in the Arab /Islamic world and the continuing plight of masses of humans under their fundamentalist banners and petty royals . Do these little potentates, dictators and madmen have any grasp of reality at all ? Or any shame for how little they have really done for their peoples ? They still haven't grasped the issue of the equality of women , and that is one of their greatest downfalls of their civilization and emasculated them from the start. Always 50% of the total creative intellectual force of Islam has been held down and a prisoner with the suppression of women ...and the same could be said of India too where the Caste system and Brahmanism must also end for good. > Totally agree, extremism in form of religion is a negative subtractor. Muslim is no better than a Jew or a Christian or a Hindu or a atheist, the very idea that one human being is better than other is condemnable. The present crisis in the world roots from the baggage of history. It is not that the region has gone crazy rather I see a silver lining to the dark clouds if we come out clean from this mess we would collectively take a sigh of relief as we must have passed a critical test of acting like grown ups with our strategic assets. In my opinion we should not repeat the mistakes of massive wars in the first 50 wars of this century, we should learn from those experiences, for humanity the horrors of war are a collective lesson and we are bestowed with greatest of luck that we have seen it all and we know the consequences. I have learned that best way to go forward is to find beauty in every culture created by human struggle we all be richer if we can adopt and we can appreciate. The problem of the extremists is that they impose, that is what I find reprehensible, from the suicide bomber to someone who goes and kill in Kaluchek the women and children or kill our Doctors are sick minds. The most unfortunate thing is that when you add the common ties that binds these criminals together it is the extremist strain of Islam, hence our collective duty to let the world differentiate between a common peaceful person and one that has gun that talks, 99.9% of people want to live in peace the rest are the ones we need to tackle with our effort not to plunge in war. The extremists wants war, wants destruction and they have no idea about the consequences, the houries in heaven are bigger attraction than the challenges here in life.

<Any destabilization or assailing threat to Musharraf himself , or even the slightest hint that these nukes could be armed & fall into the hands of some even more hot-head factions within the military , would probably lead to a quick , decisive and very stunning move by the US special forces to take control of these weapons, probably as fast as one Taliban caveman can say ---->Kashmir .> The problem lies in the fact that inter-Islamic battles like cleansing of Osama like evils need massive pockets of these moderate rogues as you can call them, in my opinion the reason USA avoided the charges of 'clash of civilisation' was the they cleaned the mess in Afghanistan with the help of Northern Alliance and Pakistan, any one else would not be able to do the job, the problems within Islamic world will have to be addressed by the forces within this region hence a footprint in the region and working relationship with these forces that irk some is required.
