Seems to me that if there's any betrayal involved, the traitors would be the ones who took the bribes. When I had to bribe the cop in Chetumal, Mexico, who was looking for some lunch money and dreamed up a non-existent stop sign, I don't think I betrayed Mexico or any part thereof. But he ensured that I will never spend another peso in that part of the world.

As I read the indictment, it's alleged that he paid federal agents to provide him confidential information. If proved, I consider that bribery.
