straight out of Sunday school class in the Southern US:

I always like the "Asked and answered" from a New York Catholic School, with smart ass kids.

"Hey, Fadder! Can God make a rock so big he can't lift it?"

"There are mysteries, my son."

The Talmud is not the Torah.I have never heard of any statements in the Torah similar to those quoted from the Koran such as killing infidels not being punishable, or killing those who convert from Islam being OK or anything like Jews being the highest evolutionary expression of humans.

Which is not to say that there are not endless interpretations of the Torah and the Talmud as it exists today. There are certainly Jewish extremists who interpret the Prophets to condone ambushing Arabs on the West Bank. The thing to remember is that the Torah is a candle in a roomful of mirrors. The light is reflected just a little differently from every angle.
