I'm sure you know that some of the trillions wiped in tech was never really in tech, right? The bizarre market caps were based on a small number of shares in the float. Needless to say, someone who paid $200 for JDSU lost most of it, but the ridiculous market cap was achieved with negative money flow as were the market caps of most of the techs in the Naz aside from the biggest generals like CSCO and MSFT.
