Beyond being alert and carrying on, there is no well- defined roll for the general public. They can donate to blood banks, report suspicious vans, or learn first aid, but the competent authorities in the uniformed services, the police, firefighters, emergency services personnel, and so on, are the one's with front- line responsibilities. The main thing is that the populace supports the Administration, so that political enemies are not allowed to derail the efforts against terrorism.........
